Loading Hard Felt Wheel

Michael D. Sullivan suggested:

"You need to grease the wheel with lard or tallow.  In a pinch, Vaseline would probably work. THEN spin the wheel and rub the crayon on it."

I wiped some Vaseline on, plugged the motor in, wiped off any excess Vaseline with a paper towel, and introduced my green bar of compound to the wheel. Sure enough, not only did it turn that wheel green, but it didn't throw nearly as much compound all over the place as it did before.  In the spirit of full disclosure, I must admit that I was a bit surprised, but not nearly as surprised as I was happy. This thing works great, now.
